The founder of this online retailer had a great backstory. Having created the company because she could not find named gifts for her own children, she set about sourcing and selling things herself from her kitchen table, starting with just £5. Within a few years, she was managing a multi-million pound business, delivering more than 14,000 products from her headquarters in Northampton.
Ruth was asked to generate national coverage by telling this story to the UK business media.
She wrote up the story and approached existing and new media contacts, setting up interviews, responding to specific questions and writing bespoke features. The campaign delivered profile articles in Metro, The Times, The Telegraph and Forbes, to name a few, as well as several business and entrepreneur titles.
“We worked with Ruth a couple of years ago. Her brief was to promote the business as it was growing quickly and we got some really good features in the national press and the local business media titles we were aiming for.”
