VR PR!

I’ve been appointed by Wild Immersion, the global environmental VR company, to manage a local PR campaign around its first permanent UK cinema here in Manchester.

Described as the ‘World’s First Virtual Nature Reserve’, Wild Immersion aims to take consumers deep into real-life wildlife locations, introducing seven new and unique Virtual Reality (VR) films, having filmed over 140 species in over 40 countries.

The company trialled its offering here over the summer and is is now taking over a permanent site to create a 40-seat theatre which will open in October. It is endorsed by Dr. Jane Goodall, DBE, founder of The Jane Goodall Institute and UN Messenger of Peace. Along with existing venues in Switzerland, France and Finland, the new Trafford Centre site will be donating a percentage of profit to the Jane Goodall institute to support its conservation work.

I’ll be working closely with the team at intu Trafford Centre to manage local awareness, building partnerships with community groups, media companies and target consumers to help promote the venue.
